The Italian Ambassador accompanied a high representative from CDP (the Italian National Promotion Institution) and the Financial Attaché of the Bank of Italy in South East Asia in several meetings at the Ministries of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, of Finance and Planning, at the Central Bank and with the Economic Counsellor to Daw Aung san Suu Kyi.
In Nay Pyi Taw CDP and the Treasury Dept also signed the Financial Convention concerning the Italian Soft Loan for the NEP (30 billion Euros).
In Yangon the Italian delegation met with representatives of the WB, IFC, UMFCCI, the Myanmar Credit Bureau, and with many other people from the banking system, microfinance and – last but not least! – Italian entrepreneurs.
