15th Week of the Italian Language in the World celebrations started in Yangon

YANGON, 21 October 2015 – The Embassy of Italy has started the celebrations in Yangon of the 15^th Week of the Italian Language in the World under the theme “Italian in music, music of Italian”. The program of the week is full of initiatives, such as the concert “Gran Gala’ d’Opera e Operetta” that will take place on October 23^rd at the Strand Hotel Ballroom and the screening of the movie “I Vitelloni” by Federico Fellini at the Goethe Villa on Sunday, October 25^th. Yesterday and today pianist Gianfranco Fiumara Pappalardo and tenor Roberto Cresca, who will perform an extraordinary program of Opera and Operetta songs at the Strand Hotel, gave two Master classes at the Legacy Academy and at the Yangon University of Foreign Languages with the enthusiastic participation of young Myanmar students of Music and Italian Language.
