ITALIAN PRODUCTS EXPO 2015

YANGON, October 16^th 2015 – The Italian Ambassador Pier Giorgio Aliberti and the Deputy Union Minister for Commerce Dr Pwint San participated today in the inauguration ceremony of the “Italian Products Expo 2015”, together with the organizers, many dignitaries of the local entrepreneurs’ association (UMFCCI), representatives of EuroCham and some members of the Yangon Regional Government attended the ceremony. More than 100 Italian companies participated in the fair, presenting their products and covering different sectors such as furniture, agricultural and industrial machineries, food and beverage, cosmetics, health and pharmaceutics. 

“The Embassy welcomes any initiative, such as this fair, aimed at fostering our economical bilateral relations and to promote Made in Italy products”, said Ambassador Aliberti, adding that this particular historical moment, characterized by broad reforms also in the economic field, presents interesting and extraordinary opportunities for Italian companies in Myanmar. Finally, the Ambassador of Italy encouraged Myanmar entrepreneurs to have B2B meetings with the Italian counterparts in order to explore possible future collaborations and areas of common interests.
