Today, Italian Embassies and Consulates around the world start hosting events for the 7th Week of Italian Cuisine in the world, in order to celebrate and showcase the Italian food and wine tradition and culture. This year, we are partnering with the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok and the Italian Trade Agency in Bangkok to offer a programme of activities both in Bangkok and in Yangon.
Food is a symbol of solidarity and sharing. This is why, due to the current circumstances in Myanmar, we decided that all the initiatives that we are organising during this week will support civil society organisations, especially those working on food security and education, in a moment of unprecedented need.
