On 17th and 18th May, the Italian Embassy opened its doors for “Cultural Connections”, the 2025 edition of Open House

The Embassy of Italy celebrated “Cultural Connections“, the 2025 edition of Open House, together with eight other embassies and cultural centers in Yangon, where a special programme of live performances, art exhibits,  food tastings, and many other exciting activities was available for the visitors.

On May 17th and 18th, the Italian Embassy in Yangon organised a two-days event dedicated to discovering different aspects of Italian and Myanmar cultures and to fostering fruitful connections, while at the same time contributing to the earthquake relief efforts.

🖌 8:00-11:00 | Urban Sketching Yangon “Hidden Heritage” (max 20 people, registration needed) – Residence external premises
🍧 9:30-11:00 | Gelato Academy with Myanmar Deaf Chefs (15 people, registration needed; 40.000 MMK fee to be donated to support earthquake relief efforts) – Residence kitchen
🍝 11:00-13:00 | Homemade Pasta Lessons with the Embassy’s Chef Lwin Lwin (15 people, registration needed; 40.000 MMK fee to be donated to support earthquake relief efforts) – Residence Kitchen
🍧 13:30-15:00 | Gelato Academy with Myanmar Deaf Chefs (15 people, registration needed; 40.000 MMK fee to be donated to support earthquake relief efforts) – Residence Kitchen

📚 15:00-16:30 | “Through the Eyes of Teachers and Children. A Reggio Children inspired approach to teaching and learning”, in collaboration with teacher Valentina Caputo (40 people, registration welcomed) – Meeting Room

🎬 18:00-20:00 | Screening of the film “Carosello Carosone” (50 people, registration welcomed) – Meeting Room
