Myanmar, concert “Amarcord – Fellini&Friends”

From the beautiful art city of Perugia, tomorrow the musicians of the “Umbria Ensemble” will play for the Myanmar public some iconic pieces written for cinema by the most acclaimed Italian composers, such as Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone and Nicola Piovani.

“Amarcord – Fellini & Friends” is the first of a series of concerts especially dedicated to Myanmar people; it was proposed online for the first time Saturday 14 November 2020 on the Facebook Page of our Embassy (https://www.facebook.com/ItalianEmbassyYangon).

To celebrate the centenary of the birth of Federico Fellini, a viola player (Luca Ranieri), a pianist (Andrea Trovato) and a cello player (Maria Cecilia Berioli) will guide the audience through the soundtracks of unforgettable movies, some of which directed by the great Italian Master. The concert is an invitation to dream with the music written for the great cinema, which will be accompanied by the amazing images of the city of Perugia.
